Gus Garcia is a native born-Texan and has been in the fashion, beauty pageant industry for more than a decade. He was director of the Miss Val Verde USA pageant, Miss Del Rio USA pageant, Miss Del Rio Galaxy, Miss West Texas American Beauty and Miss Texas Latina pageants, and owner of Texas Runway Modeling Academy and Brass Ring productions.
He was featured in the MTV reality show Tiara Girls as well as two other reality shows based on beauty pageants.
Currently, he is an assistant presentations editor for the Standard-Examiner and an adjunct professor at the University of Utah.
He has produced high-end fashion show for the Bridal Gathering, Quinceanera Expo and the annual fundraising fashion show for the People With AIDS Coalition of Utah.
He is a featured presentet at the "Just for Her show" sponsored by the Standard-Examiner.
